Families gearing up for the new school year can take advantage of extended immunization hours at Metro Public Health Department (MPHD) locations starting Monday, July 29. Students must present proof of immunizations before entering kindergarten and seventh grade, as well as for new admissions to Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS).
MPHD will offer extended hours for back-to-school immunizations at the Lentz Public Health Center, East Health Center, and Woodbine Health Center. Additionally, the Immunization Records division at MPHD will be open until 5:30 p.m. daily through August 23. The Immunization Records division is located on the second floor at the Lentz Public Health Center. In addition to the services at MPHD clinics, several mobile immunization clinics have been scheduled in partnership with MNPS. These mobile clinics are intended for individuals with no or limited health coverage. Those with private health insurance should contact their family health care provider to arrange for immunizations.
