Detectives Seek Shoplifting Sisters with Multiple Warrants

Detectives are searching for two sisters wanted for multiple thefts in Nashville.

Detectives in Nashville are actively working to locate two sisters, Melissa Mayes and Myiesha Mayes, who are believed to have stolen thousands of dollars worth of products over the past six months. The sisters are wanted for a combined total of 19 theft warrants.

Myiesha Mayes, 28, currently has 13 outstanding theft warrants against her. She has allegedly been involved in multiple shoplifting incidents at Sephora locations in Fifth and Broadway and Opry Mills, taking several thousand dollars in merchandise each time. In one notable incident on June 2, Myiesha and her brother, Michael Mayes, 26, allegedly stole several pairs of designer sunglasses from the Sunglass Hut at Green Hills Mall. Michael Mayes was arrested on June 19 on charges of theft, vandalism, and burglary, as well as for stealing lottery tickets. He is currently in jail on a $60,000 bond.

Melissa Mayes, 25, faces six outstanding theft warrants related to similar incidents at stores within Fifth and Broadway, Opry Mills, and Green Hills Mall.

Authorities have launched an initiative to address organized retail crime since March 20, resulting in 168 felony warrants and 269 misdemeanor warrants. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Myiesha or Melissa Mayes is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
