Detectives Investigate Targeted Murder on Charlotte Pike

Authorities are investigating the targeted killing of Jorge Noel Cruz-Garcia outside a market in West Nashville.

Homicide Unit detectives are actively pursuing leads in the murder of Jorge Noel Cruz-Garcia, 35, which occurred on Friday evening outside a market at 6208 Charlotte Pike in West Nashville.

According to the investigation, Cruz-Garcia parked his car and entered the market. Shortly thereafter, a vehicle with four individuals arrived, parked in an adjacent lot, and backed in. As Cruz-Garcia exited the market and approached his car, four gunmen emerged from the other vehicle and opened fire on him. Cruz-Garcia attempted to flee, running across the street where he collapsed on Charlotte Pike. The gunmen then drove toward him and fired several more shots while he was on the ground. Cruz-Garcia was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. A reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the individuals involved.
