A 20-year-old man is currently in jail on a $416,000 bond after allegedly shooting and injuring his sister outside their Hermitage apartment on Sunday morning. The suspect, James Johnson, was reportedly involved in an argument over money with the victim when he fired two shots, hitting her once in the leg.
The victim was transported to Skyline Medical Center for treatment and refused to speak with Domestic Violence detectives. During the investigation, two Glock pistols were found inside the apartment, one of which was reported stolen from Davidson County and appeared to have an automatic switch. Additionally, officers recovered baggies of narcotics and a large amount of cash from Johnson.
Johnson admitted to officers at the scene that he sold narcotics and possessed the stolen pistol for protection. He faces charges of attempted homicide along with four other gun and drug offenses.
