17-Year-Old Killed in Targeted Shooting at Old Hickory Duplex

A 17-year-old was killed in a targeted shooting at an Old Hickory duplex early this morning.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating a targeted shooting that occurred at 12:45 a.m. today, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Caleb Womack. The incident took place at a duplex located at 901 Bryan Street in Old Hickory.

Hermitage Precinct officers responded to a call reporting shots fired and found Womack lying in the living room. He was immediately transported to Skyline Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

Preliminary investigation reveals that Womack had arrived home shortly before multiple shots were fired into the duplex from the roadway. Homicide and TITANS detectives are continuing their efforts to advance this investigation.

Driver Arrested After Fatal Hit and Run
