Upcoming Road Construction in West Tennessee

Road construction projects in West Tennessee from June 12-19 will cause temporary lane closures.

From June 12-19, 2024, there will be possible daytime and nighttime lane closures at various locations across Region 4 in West Tennessee to facilitate necessary repairs and new installations. These closures will affect several counties, including Carroll, Dyer, Gibson, Obion, Weakley, Crockett, Haywood, Madison, Fayette, Lauderdale, Shelby, and Tipton.

**District 47**

*Carroll County*

– SR-22: Resurfacing from the Henderson County Line to near Weatherford Rd. will cause temporary lane closures.

– SR-77: Resurfacing from near McLemoresville Road to the SR22 Bypass in Huntingdon will also cause temporary lane closures.

*Dyer County*

– SR-20: Repair of the bridge on US 412 (SR 20) over the North Fork Forked Deer River will cause temporary lane closures. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction and a 5’ shoulder. The speed limit is reduced to 55 MPH.

– SR-181 and SR-104: Resurfacing projects will cause temporary lane closures.

*Gibson/Carroll County*

– SR-76 (US-79): Construction work from west of Cades-Atwood Road in Gibson County to east of SR 77 in Carroll County will cause temporary lane closures. Barker Road is permanently closed, with detours provided.

*Obion County*

– Future I-69 (Phase 3): SR 690 (Future I-69) is now open to traffic with speed limits reduced to 45 MPH in the southbound lanes for the transition onto US51.

*Weakley County*

– SR-445 and SR-431: Safety improvements and resurfacing will cause temporary lane closures.

**District 48**

*Crockett County*

– US-412 (SR-20): Resurfacing with hot-in-place recycling will cause temporary lane closures. One lane will remain open at all times.

*Haywood County*

– I-40: Nightly lane closures from near SR19 to Hawkins Lane for resurfacing work.

– SR 179 and SR 222: Resurfacing projects will cause temporary lane closures. One lane will remain open at all times.

*Madison County*

– US412 (SR20/Parkway): Temporary lane closures for asphalt repairs.

**District 49**

*Fayette County*

– SR-196: Daily lane closures with flagger operations for pavement repairs.

*Lauderdale County*

– US-51 (SR-3) and SR-19: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures. At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

*Shelby County*

– I-40: Nightly lane closures for resurfacing from near the Wolf River to near Sycamore View Road.

– SR-3, SR-14, SR-385, SR-57, SR-175: Various resurfacing and safety improvement projects will cause temporary lane closures.

– Shady Grove Rd. Bridge over I-240: Closed for bridge repairs until August 30th.

– Various Routes: Intermittent lane closures for curb ramp installation.

– SR-23 (Walnut Grove Rd): Nightly lane closures for resurfacing.

– I-55/Crump: Lane closures and detours for ongoing construction activities on the I-55 Mississippi River Bridge.

*Tipton County*

– US-51 (SR-3) at Kenwood Avenue: Temporary lane closures for safety improvements.

**Non-TDOT Work**

*Shelby County*

– SR-177 (Germantown Road): Long-term lane closures for widening and intersection improvements.
