Nashville Police Urge Vehicle Security Measures

The Nashville Police Department is advising residents to lock their car doors and secure valuables, particularly firearms, to curb thefts. This year, 406 guns have been stolen from vehicles in Nashville, with a significant portion of overall firearm thefts tied to cars. A special MNPD program initiated in February has resulted in numerous arrests, recovered stolen vehicles, and retrieved stolen guns, aiming to reduce car theft and related crimes.
