Reward Increased for 2022 Christmas Day Road Rage Murder

Reward for information on Christmas Day road rage murder now increased to $23,000.

The Crime Stoppers reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person(s) responsible for the Christmas Day 2022 road rage murder of Christopher Spaunhorst, 37, of Greenbrier, has been increased to $23,000.

Christopher Spaunhorst, a father of five, was fatally shot while driving his Ford F-150 pickup truck on I-24 West between the Shelby Avenue and James Robertson Parkway exits. The assailant was in a black 2016-2017 Kia Optima sedan.

Previously, concerned citizens had raised $16,000 towards the reward. After recently renewing the case through Crime Stoppers, a local business owner contributed an additional $2,000. Crime Stoppers also offers up to $5,000 for tips in homicide and cold cases.

Suspect in 2022 Homicide Returned to Nashville

Isaiah Burr, a 22-year-old suspect, was returned to Nashville after being apprehended in Kentucky for the 2022 homicide of Chanya Sherill. Sherill, 20, was found shot near her vehicle on Dickerson Pike, and Burr, who had outstanding warrants in Indiana and Kentucky, is accused of contacting women through a dating app as part of a robbery scheme. He is currently jailed without bond.
