Nashville Street Racing Crackdown Leads to 45th Arrest

Cesar Sandoval is the 45th person arrested since March for street racing activities.

The police department’s ongoing initiative to curb dangerous street racing activities has resulted in the arrest of Cesar Sandoval, aged 20. Sandoval faces a felony charge of reckless endangerment for his involvement as a driver in a street takeover at the Nolensville Pike-Elysian Fields Road intersection in May 2023.

Sandoval was apprehended by Murfreesboro Police and subsequently transferred to Nashville authorities. He is accused of driving recklessly in the intersection while a pedestrian chased after him, and other spectators observed from a designated “pit” area. Additionally, Sandoval is known to operate a social media account that showcases posts of street racing and intersection takeover activities.

Sandoval’s arrest marks the 45th apprehension since the initiative against street racing began in March 2023.
