Special Victims Unit detectives arrested Mathieu Williams, 28, from Antioch, after multiple sexually explicit images of a child were posted on social media. The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped off the authorities about the material posted to an X account earlier this month. Detective Chase Harriman led the investigation, which connected Williams to the account.
In an interview with detectives, Williams admitted that he knew the female child shown in the images and that he produced the images. During a search warrant at his home, electronic devices were seized. Williams has been charged with three counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and is currently held on a $150,000 bond.
