DOHR Unveils New Mission, Vision, and Values

Tennessee's DOHR introduces new guiding principles for attracting and retaining top talent.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee State Government’s Department of Human Resources (DOHR) has announced its new mission, vision, and values (MVV) statements. These new guiding principles are designed to enhance efforts in attracting, growing, and retaining top talent for the state government.

The new mission is: “Guiding ‘people solutions’ to attract, grow, and keep top talent.”

The vision statement aims for “Tennessee State Government to be the best place to work.”

The values include:

– Be Excellent!

– Customer-Focused Solutions

– Continuous Improvement

– Teamwork

– Integrity, Trust, and Empathy

Juan Williams, Commissioner of the Department of Human Resources, expressed enthusiasm about the new MVV statements. “We are excited to unveil our new mission, vision, and values, which reflect the culture of our employees and their commitment to excellence, innovation, and people. These principles will guide our efforts as we strive to make Tennessee State Government the best place to work for all its employees.”

The new MVV statements were introduced to agency employees during the department’s annual State Employee Recognition Day event.
