City Council Candidate Forum in Murfreesboro

Murfreesboro City Council candidates will participate in a forum on June 24th.

Candidates for the City of Murfreesboro City Council will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and respond to a moderator’s questions at a forum on Monday, June 24th. The event will take place at the City of Murfreesboro City Hall Chambers located at 111 W Vine Street, starting at 6 PM.

The following candidates are scheduled to participate: Matt Herriman, Kelly Northcutt, Bill Shacklett, Kirt Wade, and Shawn Wright. The public is invited to attend in person or watch live or streamed on Murfreesboro CityTV available on Comcast Xfinity Channels 3 and 1094, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, YouTube, Facebook, mobile devices, and the City website.

Attendees should be seated 10 minutes prior to the start time, as there will be no admittance once the forum begins.

Election Day is set for Thursday, August 1st, with early voting scheduled from July 12 through July 27.

The forum is hosted by the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Murfreesboro/Rutherford County, the Middle Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women (MTLAW), and the Rutherford County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority (DST) in collaboration with the City of Murfreesboro. These organizations are nonpartisan and do not support, endorse, or oppose any candidate, party, or political appointee.
