The 2024 Celebration Under the Stars, powered by Middle Tennessee Electric, will take place at the Fountains at Gateway on Thursday, July 4. Festivities will kick off at 4:30 p.m. with food trucks, music, and family activities. Country artist Craig Campbell is scheduled to perform on the Fountains Stage at 7:30 p.m., and the fireworks display will start around 9 p.m. Watch the Promo Video.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to picnic on the grass at the Fountains, located at 1500 Medical Center Parkway, starting at 5:00 p.m. The fireworks will be launched from a field at Gateway Island, near The Fountains at Gateway.
Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Fountains and a grassy area directly across Medical Center Blvd. Road closures will begin at 8:30 p.m., with Medical Center Parkway closed from Broad Street to Thompson Lane. Additional closures between Searcy Street and Gateway Boulevard will start at 8:55 p.m. and last until the fireworks show concludes. Post-show, vehicles will be directed to turn right out of parking lots toward Thompson Lane or Broad Street.
For safety reasons, the celebration site prohibits pets, alcoholic beverages, cooking grills, and personal fireworks or sparklers.
The event is sponsored by Middle Tennessee Electric, the City of Murfreesboro, Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation, Murfreesboro Police Department, and Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department.

Murfreesboro Secures Battlefield Preservation Deal
The Murfreesboro City Council approved an agreement with the American Battlefield Trust to purchase a 31.6-acre property linked to the Battle of Stones River, aiming to integrate it into the city’s Parks & Recreation system for educational and preservation purposes.
