In a coordinated effort by North Precinct officers and Specialized Investigations detectives, seven individuals were arrested at a short-term rental property on Napoleon Street. The operation resulted in the recovery of six firearms and a substantial amount of at least six types of narcotics.
Upon entering the residence, officers arrested the following individuals:
– Vivian Tran, 21
– Acuma Juma, 23
– Kordell Marquzz Parson, 18
– Amiya Powell, 23
– John Topaco, 24
– Jeremiah Wheeler-Yarbrough, 18
– Juvenile female, 16
John Topaco, a convicted felon, attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. During the chase, Topaco dropped a backpack containing marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, mushrooms, pills, paraphernalia, cash, and a Glock 27 pistol.
A search of the residence led to the recovery of additional drugs and firearms, including cocaine, marijuana, pills, a Draco pistol, a Glock 39 pistol, and a Glock 29 pistol. The 16-year-old girl was found in possession of a Glock 30 pistol and a stolen Glock 17 pistol.
All seven individuals face various drug and gun possession charges, with Topaco also being charged with evading arrest.

Majority of Stolen Guns in Nashville Taken from Vehicles
The Nashville Police Department reports that 70% of the 475 guns stolen in Davidson County in 2024 were taken from vehicles, with a notable 38% decrease from last year. Since February 1st, a special initiative has led to 509 arrests, the recovery of 279 stolen vehicles, and the retrieval of 109 guns.
