Two Teen Carjacking Suspects Apprehended

Two teenagers were arrested for carjacking in Nashville.

Two teen carjacking suspects were arrested Wednesday night after Violent Crimes detectives located them in a stolen GMC Terrain on Channing Drive.

An MNPD helicopter followed the SUV, which had been taken at gunpoint from a parking lot at 714 Due West Avenue. The pilot informed officers on the ground that the two suspects, both males aged 15 and 16, had returned to Channing Drive, exited the vehicle, and entered a Kia. The Kia was later stopped on Due West Avenue and Dickerson Pike. Detectives, assisted by several other units including canine, apprehended all five occupants. The two teen suspects were positively identified as the carjackers. The other three occupants were interviewed and released.

The suspects are charged in Juvenile Court with carjacking.

Detectives Seek Help Identifying Burglary Suspects

Detectives from the Central Precinct are seeking public assistance to identify two men who broke into the L&C Tower on May 7th by prying open a loading bay door and damaging a surveillance camera and light fixture without stealing anything. Both suspects are described as white men; one wore shorts and a black t-shirt over his face, and the other wore long dark pants and a white t-shirt over his face.
