The TSSAA Board of Control will convene for a two-day meeting at the TSSAA office building in Hermitage, starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4. The meeting will continue on Wednesday, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The agenda for the annual summer meeting includes more than 30 items. Among the key topics, financial reports for winter sports such as basketball and wrestling will be presented for approval. Additionally, reports from the annual Athletic Directors’ and Cheer Coaches’ Conferences will be reviewed.
Two schools are seeking membership in TSSAA. Candies Creek Academy in Charleston plans to enter into a cooperative agreement with another member school if approved. Annoor Academy of Knoxville aims to introduce soccer and potentially expand to other sports in the future.
The Board will also receive a review of the Sportsmanship Program for the 2023-2024 school year. This review will cover various aspects of the program, including the number of coach ejections, disciplinary actions, and investigated unsportsmanlike incidents. The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of the sportsmanship program across all sports.
Additionally, the Board will discuss potential options for the next classification cycle.

Tennessee Board of Regents to Review Tuition Hikes
