Oakland Driver Services Center Closes for Repairs

The Oakland Driver Services Center in Tennessee is temporarily closed for water pipe repairs.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has announced the temporary closure of the Oakland Driver Services Center, located at 160 Beau Tisdale Drive. The closure, effective through May 10, is necessitated by essential repairs to the facility’s water pipes.

To accommodate customers during this period, the Department has provided a list of alternative locations within the region where services can still be accessed. These include:

– Summer Avenue Driver Services Center at 5266 Summer Avenue, Suite 75, Memphis, TN 38122

Bartlett Express Services Center at 6340 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38134

Additionally, several kiosk locations are available for duplicates and renewals of non-commercial driver licenses only. These kiosk locations are conveniently situated across Memphis and its surrounding areas, including:

– Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library at 3030 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38111

Germantown City Hall at 1930 South Germantown Road, Germantown, TN 37643

– Multiple Memphis Police Stations including the Appling Farms, Mt. Moriah, and Tillman Stations

– Two Shelby County Clerk locations at 150 Washington Avenue and 1075 Mullins Station, Memphis

– University of Memphis at 506 University Street, Room 100, Memphis, TN 38152
