Specialized Investigations Division detectives are currently examining the circumstances leading to a shooting incident that unfolded on Sunday night on Buchanan Street, close to the Minerva Avenue Bar. This event resulted in three individuals sustaining non-critical injuries. The unfolding investigation has revealed that multiple individuals discharged firearms during the incident, including at least one of the injured parties.
The incident is reported to have commenced at approximately 7:49 p.m., coinciding with some individuals exiting the bar. The three injured individuals, consisting of two men aged 27 and 24, and another 28-year-old man, were independently transported to medical facilities by private vehicles. The two younger men were taken to Vanderbilt, while the older man received treatment at Centennial.
Further investigation into the incident has led to the identification of the 27-year-old man treated at Vanderbilt as one of the individuals who had discharged a firearm during the event. As detectives continue to work diligently to ascertain the motive behind the shooting, the investigation remains active and ongoing.
