Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division are currently working to uncover the motive behind a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday night on Buchanan Street, close to the Minerva Avenue Bar. The event resulted in three individuals sustaining non-critical injuries.
Preliminary findings from the investigation reveal that multiple individuals discharged firearms during the incident, with at least one of the wounded parties identified as having participated in the shooting. The altercation is reported to have commenced at approximately 7:49 p.m. as some individuals were departing from the bar.
The victims, consisting of two men aged 27 and 24, were transported to Vanderbilt Hospital, and another 28-year-old man was taken to Centennial Hospital, all by private vehicles. Further investigation has confirmed the 27-year-old man treated at Vanderbilt as one of the individuals who fired shots.
The investigation into the shooting on Buchanan Street remains ongoing as detectives continue to piece together the events leading up to the altercation and the circumstances surrounding it.
