The Department of Revenue administers state tax laws and motor vehicle title and registration laws, and it collects taxes and fees related to these laws. The department is responsible for approximately 87 percent of the total state revenue, having collected $22 billion in state taxes and fees and over $4.6 billion for local governments during the 2023 fiscal year. Tennessee Adjusts June SNAP Benefits Schedule
The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) announced a one-time adjustment for June 2024 SNAP benefits, splitting them into two payments due to the early issuance in April. The first distribution will be on May 24, 2024, and the second on the standard June date, with regular schedules resuming in July. Customers are advised to check their EBT balances and access budgeting resources online.
