Arrest Warrants Issued for Daniel Revette

Daniel Revette is wanted for an attack on a woman outside Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Special Victims detectives have issued arrest warrants against Daniel Revette, 39, for the sexual assault of a woman on May 11 outside Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s East parking garage at 1215 21st Avenue South.

Collaboration between detectives and scientists at the MNPD crime laboratory identified Revette as the suspect. The warrants issued include charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated sexual battery, and attempted rape. Authorities believe Revette is homeless and are urging anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

The incident involved a medical center employee who noticed Revette pacing nearby. When she tried to leave the area, Revette grabbed her from behind and began choking her, threatening to kill her if she made noise. During the struggle, he forcibly fondled her, but she managed to escape.

Revette has a criminal history, including a 2007 conviction for attempted rape, resulting in a six-year sentence and lifetime community supervision by the Tennessee Department of Correction. In 2021, he was convicted of aggravated assault and received another six-year sentence. Additionally, Revette has multiple convictions for violating Tennessee’s sex offender registry law. On May 18, the state issued warrants for sex offender registration violation and community supervision violation against him.
