17-Year-Old Arrested for March Fatal Shooting

A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting from March.

Specialized Investigations Division detectives have arrested Dazmane Moore, 17, on a criminal homicide charge in connection with the March 8 murder of Gregory Manning II, 20. The incident took place inside an apartment at Villas of Metro Center on Ponder Place.

According to the investigation, Moore and Marickus Ladd, 18, allegedly pulled guns during an argument with Manning, which resulted in Manning being fatally shot. The investigation further reveals that Manning went to the apartment at Ladd’s request.

Ladd was previously arrested on March 19 on a criminal homicide charge. Moore has been booked at juvenile detention.

Investigation Underway in Fatal Shooting

Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of Darrius Bergeron, 29, which occurred early Friday morning at the intersection of Hart and Lewis Streets. A witness observed Bergeron approaching the passenger side of a white SUV before hearing gunfire, after which two SUVs fled towards Trimble Street. Bergeron was pronounced dead at the scene.
