Upper Cumberland Region Gains COA Accreditation

The Upper Cumberland Region achieves prestigious national accreditation by the COA.

The Tennessee Department of Children’s Services (DCS) is pleased to share that its Upper Cumberland Region has been awarded national accreditation by the Council of Accreditation (COA). This achievement highlights the region’s dedication to maintaining the highest levels of service and care for children and families in need.

The accreditation process conducted by the COA involved a thorough evaluation of the Upper Cumberland regional offices’ services, including child protection and investigation, foster care, adoption, and juvenile justice services.
