St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville: A Running and Music Fest

Over 23,000 runners participated in the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville event.

The St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Nashville event recently concluded, providing a memorable experience for over 23,000 registered runners. This event, held in Nashville, Tenn., on April 27, 2024, offered a variety of distances to accommodate all levels of runners, including a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. The event continued into Sunday with a 1-mile, KiDSROCK, and Doggie Dash events.

Elite runners were among the participants, with Mitchell Small from Atlanta, GA, winning the men’s marathon with a time of 2:27:33, and Kate van Buskirk from Brampton, ON, CA, securing victory in the women’s race with a time of 2:27:40. Both winners shared their unique stories and motivations for participating in the event, highlighting the personal challenges and triumphs that come with marathon running.

The half marathon saw Chris Frias of Ventura, CA, and Katrina Ivancic of Bozeman, MT, emerge as the overall male and female winners, respectively. Their achievements underscore the competitive spirit and athletic prowess present at the event.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series is renowned for merging running with entertainment, creating a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates both music and fitness.
