Sheneca Cowart, 29, has been charged with assault, threat of mass violence at a school, and two counts of carrying a weapon onto school property after she allegedly threatened another teacher at The Academy of McCrory Lane, a pre-school on Newsome Station Road in Nashville.
Rapid School Safety Team officers took Cowart into custody following the incident. According to witnesses, Cowart threatened to retrieve a firearm and made threats against another teacher and the school after an argument.

During the arrest, officers recovered a handgun from Cowart’s purse and a second firearm in the driver’s side door of her vehicle.
Cowart is currently being held in lieu of $37,000 bond.
