Germantown Parkway Southbound Lanes Closed for Bridge Repairs

TDOT crews will close southbound Germantown Parkway for 10 days for bridge repairs.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced that contract crews will be closing the southbound lanes of Germantown Parkway for 10 days to perform necessary repairs on the Wolf River Bridge. The closure will begin on Friday, April 12 at 8:00 pm and continue through Monday, April 22 at 6:00 am.

During the 10-day closure, crews will use hydro-demolition techniques to work on the bridge deck and apply a new polymer concrete overlay. The polymer-modified concrete has strict temperature restrictions, and all work is weather-dependent. While the southbound lanes will be closed, the northbound lanes will remain open.

Travelers can find the latest construction activity and live streaming SmartWay traffic cameras on the TDOT website at They can also dial 511 for travel information or follow TDOT on Twitter at for statewide travel updates. For West Tennessee-specific updates, travelers can follow
