A tragic incident occurred on Briley Parkway near Dickerson Pike at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The victim has been identified as 77-year-old Donald Armstrong from Decaturville, Tennessee.
According to the preliminary investigation conducted by local authorities, the incident involved Armstrong on his motorcycle and a 2019 Infiniti car. The Infiniti was traveling westbound on Briley Parkway and was approaching the on-ramp from Dickerson Pike just as Armstrong was accelerating up the ramp to merge onto Briley Parkway. Witnesses reported that Armstrong’s motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the Infiniti car.

Following the collision, the driver of the Infiniti immediately reduced speed and pulled over to the shoulder of the road. Unfortunately, Armstrong was thrown from his Tri Glide motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
