Detectives Searching for Homicide Suspect Out on Bond

Police detectives are actively working to locate homicide suspect Adrian Cameron Jr., 19.

Homicide Unit and Specialized Investigations detectives are actively working to locate Adrian Cameron Jr., 19, for Saturday morning’s robbery-related homicide of Christopher Cheeks in an alleyway outside a music studio on Hayes Street. A criminal homicide warrant was sworn out for Cameron after he was identified as one of the three suspects involved in the gunfire that killed Cheeks, 32, of California, and injured a 29-year-old man.

Cameron was out on bond for the September 2021 murder of Josh Evans. The criminal homicide case was transferred from Juvenile Court to Criminal Court. As a part of his bond conditions, Cameron was on an ankle monitor. Data from the monitor shows it was cut off shortly after Saturday’s shooting.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts or on the identities of the other suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
