Cheekwood Estate & Gardens Offers Exciting Summer Lineup

Cheekwood Estate & Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee, unveils a captivating summer lineup of events and activities.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Cheekwood Estate & Gardens has unveiled an exciting lineup of activities and programs for visitors to enjoy from May through August. The summer calendar features exhibitions by world-renowned artists, captivating evening concerts, and a celebration of Black art and culture.

One of the highlights is “TROLLS: Save the Humans,” an imaginative exhibition by artist Thomas Dambo that blends art, nature, and messages of sustainability. Six giant trolls are intertwined with Cheekwood’s unique gardens, trees, and historic landscape for a one-of-a-kind storytelling experience. Dambo’s vision is to create art that inspires people to have adventures in nature and demonstrate that trash can be turned into something beautiful.

Another notable exhibition is “INTERVENTIONS: Ann Carrington,” showcasing the ornate work of international sculptor Ann Carrington. Known for working with discarded and found objects, Carrington’s eccentric and elegant pieces breathe new life into mundane items by assigning them new meaning as sculpture. This will be the largest iteration of the INTERVENTIONS series, featuring 33 works throughout the period rooms in the historic mansion.

Cheekwood will also host the Exposition of Elegance: Classic Cars at Cheekwood during Father’s Day weekend, where visitors can stroll among over 100 impeccably maintained classic cars and vintage motorcycles at the historic estate. The weekend culminates with a Tour d’Elegance through the streets of the city of Belle Meade.

The Under the Stars Concert Series returns, offering the opportunity to enjoy the sounds of music’s most in-demand performers and players from across the nation. The diverse music lineup includes jazz, bluegrass, and songwriters’ nights. Tickets are already on sale for these magical evenings filled with music, food trucks, and local brews.

Other events include the Black Arts Bash, which pays tribute to Black history, art, and culture, and Thursday Night Out, a weekly event featuring a blend of food, drink, and diverse music amidst the beauty of the gardens.
