Homicide detectives in Nashville are actively investigating a double homicide that occurred at the Hermitage Flats Apartments on Old Hickory Boulevard, where two young males, aged 18 and 17, were the victims of fatal gunfire. The incident took place late Saturday afternoon, with the victims found unresponsive near a building breezeway.
The 17-year-old victim has been identified as Camron McGlothen, a resident of the complex. Efforts are underway to locate the next of kin for both victims. The 18-year-old, whose name has yet to be released, was pronounced dead at the scene, while McGlothen succumbed to his injuries after being transported to Vanderbilt.
Initial investigations suggest that three suspects were involved in the attack, with one reported to have been wearing a ski mask. Following the shooting, the suspects fled the scene. The motive behind this targeted double homicide remains unclear as detectives continue to follow up on leads.
