Young Author Debuts Book at Murfreesboro Events

Kyndall Sain to present her book "A Rainy Day" at local community centers.

Murfreesboro, TN – The Murfreesboro Water Resources Department (MWRD) is proud to announce a series of book reading and signing events featuring the debut work of young author Kyndall Sain, a talented student from Hobgood Elementary School. The book titled “A Rainy Day” is set to captivate the hearts of children and adults alike during three specially arranged gatherings in Murfreesboro.

The events are designed to be family-friendly, particularly aiming to engage children in kindergarten through 4th grade. However, children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. To ensure that everyone, including Kyndall’s 3rd-grade classmates, educators, and administrators from both Hobgood and Scales Elementary School, can participate, MWRD has organized three convenient sessions:

– March 22, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Technology Engagement Center, located at 306 Minerva Dr., Murfreesboro, TN 37130

– March 23, 2024, from 11 a.m. to Noon at the same location

– March 30, 2024, from 11 a.m. to Noon at the Patterson Park Community Center STEAM Room, situated at 521 Mercury Blvd., Murfreesboro, TN 37130

In addition to the opportunity to meet the young author and discover her enchanting story, attendees will have the chance to preorder limited-edition merchandise, including book-branded t-shirts and umbrellas, available at a subsidized price of $5 each. These unique keepsakes not only serve as a memento of the event but also support local community initiatives.

Proceeds from the merchandise sales will benefit several important causes, including the Murfreesboro Water Resources Department’s Community Affairs, United Way Baby Basics/Stuff The Bus, TN Health Department Community Baby Shower, and Red Nose Day campaigns. This initiative underscores MWRD’s commitment to not only fostering literacy and creativity among the youth but also supporting vital community programs.

Those interested in attending any of the book reading and signing events are encouraged to register online to secure their spot. For registration and more details, please visit the event registration page.
