Oklahoma City Arrests Suspected Child Rapist

Suspect in multiple child rape cases apprehended in Oklahoma City.

A child rape suspect, Seth Taylor, aged 38 from Madison, has been taken into custody after his vehicle was detected by a License Plate Reader (LPR) system in Oklahoma City. Earlier this month, Taylor was indicted by a grand jury on charges stemming from the repeated rape of a 12-year-old girl over the past year. The victim disclosed the assaults at a health center in July 2022, identifying Taylor as someone she had been in close contact with through a relative.

Detectives from the Youth Services and Violent Crimes Divisions had been actively searching for Taylor. Their efforts were supported by the Brentwood Police who reported a hit on Taylor’s vehicle through their LPR system. Following this lead, Taylor was located and arrested early this morning at an apartment complex in Oklahoma City by the local police department.

Seth Taylor is facing serious charges including five counts of rape of a child, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child. He is expected to be extradited back to Nashville in the coming days to face these charges. The arrest marks a significant step forward in the ongoing effort to bring justice for the young victim and highlights the crucial role of technology in apprehending suspects.
