Nashville Predators Host Ford Military Salute Week

A week dedicated to celebrating military families with special events.

Nashville, Tenn. – The Nashville Predators, in collaboration with Ford, Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), and Fort Campbell military base, announced the return of the Ford Military Salute week, starting Tuesday, March 19, 2024. This annual event aims to honor military families through a series of activities and special features during two Military Appreciation Games on March 19 and March 23.

Fans attending the games at Bridgestone Arena will have the chance to engage with various U.S. Military branches on the plaza before the puck drops. The pre-game festivities include military vehicle displays, fitness challenges, live music, and more. Additionally, Bally Sports will host a live broadcast on the plaza for the game on March 23, enhancing the Saturday Night in Smashville experience.

A special watch party will be held on March 21 at the Fort Campbell base, allowing military members and their families to support the Predators as they face the Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena. Hosted by Nashville Predators in-game host Wayne D, the event will feature a DJ, appearances by Gnash and the Preds Energy Team, along with prizes and interactive elements.

New to this year’s celebration, the Smash Car will be available on the plaza during Military Appreciation games. Fans can take a swing at the car with a sledgehammer after making a donation to the Nashville Predators Foundation. The proceeds from this activity will benefit the DwyerFire Gold Star Family Foundation and Gold Star families.

The Nashville Predators Foundation will also offer specialty Military jerseys for auction and sell Military Mystery Pucks and Military Mystery Mini Sticks. These items, available outside section 106/107, require a $25 donation and feature autographs from Predators players. Proceeds from the sales will support Military-focused organizations in the Middle Tennessee area.

The Ford Military Salute Week initiative began in March 2020, highlighting a partnership between the Nashville Predators and MTSU’s Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center. This collaboration focuses on supporting military-connected students in achieving their education and career objectives.

Throughout the year, the Nashville Predators offer various military-specific ticket and support programs, including the Hometown Heroes Discount, which provides a 25 percent discount on single-game tickets for armed services members and first responders. This discount is available through GovX verification. For more details on accessing this discount, visit the official Predators website.
