Murfreesboro Man Fatally Shot on Saturday Morning

A 23-year-old was killed in a Murfreesboro shooting incident.

The Murfreesboro Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the morning of Saturday, March 9. Officers responded to a distress call at a residence located in the 1100 block of E. Vine Street shortly before 10 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a 23-year-old male victim on the back porch of the home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was immediately transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. As part of the investigation, a person of interest has been detained by the authorities, and charges are being considered.

The Murfreesboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is leading the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
