MFRD Firefighters Prevent House Fire Spread in Murfreesboro

Firefighters extinguished a house fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring homes.

Last night, Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) firefighters responded promptly to a house fire in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, successfully preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent homes. The fire, which vented through the roof, was reported at 10:23 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at a residence located in the 2100 block of Cason Lane.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames emanating from the rear of the home near the garage area, which had spread into the main living area. A family of five had managed to evacuate the home before the arrival of the fire crews, ensuring that there were no injuries.

Firefighters conducted a thorough search of the home to ensure no one else was inside. Fire crews, including Engine 9, Engine 10, Ladder 2, Ladder 4, Rescue 1, Battalion Chief 1, Battalion Chief 2, Safety 1, and Safety 2, along with administrative staff, worked together to swiftly extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the MFRD Fire Marshal’s Office. The quick response and coordinated effort of the MFRD firefighters played a crucial role in preventing the fire from causing further damage to neighboring homes.
