Goo Goo Cluster Launches First-Ever “Goo Goo Madness” Bracket Challenge

Nashville's iconic candy, Goo Goo Cluster, introduces a fan-voted premium flavor showdown.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Goo Goo Cluster, the beloved Nashville candy brand, is stirring excitement with the launch of its first-ever “Goo Goo Madness: A Premium Showdown,” a unique bracket challenge that invites fans to vote for their favorite Premium Goo Goo flavors. Starting March 11, enthusiasts can participate in this March-long event by casting their votes on the official Goo Goo Cluster website.

The challenge features a line-up of premium versions of the Goo Goo Cluster, a Nashville culinary staple since its inception. Unlike the original Goo Goo Cluster, which is known for its combination of peanuts, marshmallow nougat, and caramel coated in milk chocolate, the Premium Goo Goos are four-ounce, handmade delicacies created in collaboration with local chefs, restaurants, and brands, offering a variety of unique flavor profiles.

“Goo Goo Cluster has enjoyed creating these unique and beloved Premium Goo Goos with the help of various Nashville landmarks,” said Laurie Spradley, vice president of operations at Goo Goo Cluster. “Crafted in our downtown store, these limited-edition treats have built a dedicated fan base. We’re eager to see which flavor emerges as the fan favorite.”

Highlight contenders include the Loveless Cafe Biscuits & Jam Premium, Puckett’s Premium Goo Goo, Chikki Likki with chef Vivek Surti of Tailor, and the Elliston Place Soda Shop Premium Goo Goo, each offering a distinct and memorable taste experience.

Voting takes place every Monday in March, with the winning Premium Goo Goo to be announced on Monday, April 8. The victorious flavor will be celebrated with a special re-release in September and October, marking a decade of Premium Goo Goos and the 10-year anniversary of the Goo Goo Shop’s downtown location.

The Goo Goo Shop, which recently underwent a $2 million renovation and reopened in fall 2021 as the Goo Goo Chocolate Co., offers visitors a chance to explore the brand’s rich history, participate in chocolate classes, and enjoy a variety of chocolate and candy creations. With the launch of “Goo Goo Madness,” the brand continues to innovate, inviting fans to engage in a new, interactive way while celebrating the legacy of America’s first combination candy bar.
