Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, alongside Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter, announced the establishment of Flexco Products of Tennessee, LLC’s new manufacturing and distribution operations in Lawrenceburg. The expansion represents a significant investment of $17.5 million by Flexco and is expected to create 60 new jobs in Lawrence County.

Flexco, a leading tubing and metal fabrication manufacturer originally based in Elkhart, Indiana, has chosen Lawrenceburg for its strategic location to serve its customers more efficiently. The Tennessee facility marks the company’s second location in the United States, aimed at enhancing production and shipping times for its diverse range of clients across various industries.

Tom Jellison, CEO of Flexco Products, highlighted the importance of Lawrenceburg’s proactive attitude towards manufacturing growth as a key factor in their decision. He thanked Mayor Blake Lay for his efforts and pointed out that the new facility will act as a central hub for the southeastern U.S. market.

The move is part of a broader strategy by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) to attract high-quality jobs and investment to the state. Since 2020, TNECD has supported 45 economic development projects in the Southern Middle Tennessee region, leading to nearly 6,800 job commitments and $5.6 billion in capital investments.

Local officials, including Lawrenceburg Mayor Blake Lay and Lawrence County Executive David Morgan, expressed their excitement and gratitude towards Flexco for choosing Lawrenceburg, emphasizing the positive impact on the local economy and job market. The announcement has also been met with support from other stakeholders, including the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and Lawrenceburg Utility Systems, highlighting the collaborative effort behind securing this investment.

The initiative is seen as a testament to Tennessee’s business-friendly environment and its strategic location, making it an attractive destination for companies looking to expand. Flexco’s investment in Lawrenceburg is expected to not only provide new employment opportunities but also contribute to the region’s economic development and industrial growth.
